Rick had been building custom homes for 10 years in prominent neighborhoods around central Arkansas. Richard ran Richard's Home Repair for over a decade, serving homeowners throughout the region.
Their paths crossed at a leadership development program, and during the process of building their professional relationship, a massive storm system devastated Arkansas. They partnered with a major roofing contractor, forming a specialized group called Storm Seals to help roofing companies navigate the complex insurance claims process.
After months of traveling across storm-damaged areas, they realized they were weary of the constant travel but passionate about helping homeowners through their most stressful moments. That's when they made the decision to start their own company, rooted right here in Arkansas.
Eventually, they expanded their general contractor licenses to handle all facets of construction and restoration. Today, Acumen Contracting combines Rick and Richard's decades of construction expertise with their hard-earned knowledge of insurance processes.
